On December 3rd morning, members of the management board of DAD ROTARY FUND paid a visit to the humane shelter in My Duc, Hanoi to give the children there some emotional and spiritual encouragement.

In the visit, we had a chance to talk to and gave the humane shelter members our well-prepared gifts in hope that the children there will overcome difficulties to grow up fully and happily, feel the gratitude toward the nurses who day and night care for them and create values to our society in the future.

At the meeting, the center’s representative, Mrs. Ngat Nguyen Thi, expressed her highly appreciation to the DAD ROTARY FUND actions.

Situation of the center

There are totally 37 people including orphans, disabled children, helpless elderly and nurses under the same roof of My Duc humane shelter. Nine nurses are taking care of 28 disadvantaged ones. One of those nurses is suffering from a terminal throat cancer while the nurse in charge is in the early stage of breast cancer.

These 37 people’s life replies on seasonal earnings from a lotus pond such as fish raising, selling lotus flowers, marinating tea…, which are just under 7000000 VND per month. The burden piles up whenever the children suffer from epidemics.

At the farewell, we all were happy to have the opportunity to meet and share with My Duc humane center’s children but also pitiful to learn that there are so many unfortunate people living around us.

We understand that we should put more efforts to work to establish more and more developed society where every small child can live carefreely and be nurtured both physically and mentally.
