Features
The South East has 6 provinces and one city: Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City with an area of 23,564 square kilometers, accounting for 7.3% whole country’s area.
Located in the southern climatic region, the South East features the equatorial climate with high temperatures and almost unchanged during the year. Especially there is a deep seasonal variation, in accordance with the operation of the monsoon. Average rainfall is about 1,500 – 2,000 mm annually. Climate of the region is relatively harmonic, less natural disaster. However, in the dry season, low rainfall causes difficulties for production and living.
Difficulties
– Lack of minerals and natural forest areas
– The risk of environmental pollution due to industrial and urban waste is increasing.
